These are the highlights of some of the major new features in RootsMagic 8:
- Native MacOS support
- Open databases in separate windows to support multiple monitors
- Easily switch between different data lists (sources, places, tasks, media, etc) without losing your place in those lists
- Live edit for sources, places, tasks, media, etc
- Open multiple edit screens at same time
- Access other data lists (sources, places, tasks, media, etc) w/o having to close Edit Person screen(s) first
- Persistent search results let you switch to other screens / data w/o having to regenerate search
- View and edit immediate family members directly from a person's edit screen (timeline)
- Map any group of people (not limited to immediate family anymore)
