RootsMagic allows you to open multiple databases at the same time. When you open or create a new database, RootsMagic opens the database in a new window. Opening multiple databases RootsMagic allows you to open multiple databases at the same time. When you open or create a new database, RootsMagic opens the database in a new window. You can use the Close command on the Files page, or just click the close button on the window to close the currently highlighted database.
If you have more than one different database on screen at once, you can drag and drop people from one database to another. This can be especially useful if you want to split off part of your database to a new database. Simply create a new database, then drag and drop people from your database into the new empty one.
