If your database ever becomes corrupted (or is deleted) you will need to restore a backup copy of your database.

To restore a backed up database:

  1. Select the File page, then click Restore from Backup.
  2. RootsMagic will begin searching for backups on your computer. You can select from one of the backups found, or click Browse for File to select the backup manually.
  3. Select the folder you want to restore the backup into, or click Browse for Destination to manually select a folder.
  4. Click the Save button to begin the restore.

Note: If RootsMagic encounters an open database with data already populated, you will get a message to close the database first.
