The root person is the one who is considered the starting person or central focus in the database. This may be yourself, your spouse, your child, or anyone else. You can change the root person at any time.
To set the root person, position the mouse over the name of a person in any of the Pedigree, Family, Descendants, or people views, click the right mouse button and select Position > Set root person from the pop-up menu.
Click the Home button on the People page to return to the root person. This command is especially useful if you get lost in your database and want to quickly return to the root person.
